  4. Originality

Winner Selection

Applications will be reviewed between June 1, 2025, and June 15, 2025. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the judging criteria and announced around June 30, 2025. Winners will be notified by email and their names will be posted on the scholarship website. Announcement and instructions for receiving the Scholarship/Prize will be sent via email, telephone, posting on Facebook, and/or mail, within ten (10) days of selection of the Scholarship winners. Each applicant is responsible for monitoring such sources for any Program-related communications. A potential winner shall forfeit his/her Scholarship, and the applicant with the next highest scoring essay will be selected in each of the following scenarios: (a) Sponsor cannot reach the potential winner within ten (10) calendar days from the time award notification was sent, using the contact information provided on the application; (b) the potential winner is ineligible under the Official Rules of the Program; or (c) the potential winner fails to timely return all completed forms necessary to claim the Scholarship. Each potential winner will be required to complete a tax affidavit before receiving his or her Prize. The affidavit will request the name, address, and Social Security number of the winner so that the Sponsor can issue an IRS Form 1099 to the winner, if necessary. Each potential Prize winner may be required to present valid identification and sign additional documentation to receive a Prize, including a Declaration of Eligibility, Liability, and Publicity Release. If a potential Prize winner does not fulfill these requirements or a potential winner fails to comply with these Official Rules, he or she will be disqualified, the Prize will be forfeited, and a new potential winner may be selected from the remaining Eligible Entries. Prizes may not be awarded if an insufficient number of Eligible Entries are received, as Sponsor determines, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Any violation of these Official Rules by a potential winner, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, will result in his or her immediate disqualification from the Program.

Prize

Three (3) scholarship awards of $1,000 each will be granted. Prizes will be paid directly to the winners’ educational institutions.
